Fiafi Group is proud to announce the establishment of the Fiafi Solar division in 2021.

Fiafi Solar has been established to assist with the decarbonization of the Iraqi energy sector.

Fiafi Solar will leverage its contracting and maintenance capabilities and experience in the Oil & Gas sectors to provide EPC services to the emerging Iraqi utility scale Solar PV market as well as establishing a new division to service the Commercial & Residential Solar markets.

Ragdan El-Akabi
With a background in Engineering, Motorsport and Property Ragdan established the Fiafi Group in 2004. By 2013 Ragdan had grown Fiafi Group into one of Iraqs most trusted contractors to International industrialists operating in the Iraqi Market with over $400M contracts secured. Based in Iraq, Ragdan is focused on the next phase of growth for Fiafi as it plays its role in the decarbonisation of the Iraqi Energy Sector.

James Lee
James has been a key player in the world of solar for over 10 years. James established Lightsource Renewable Energy (now Lightsource BP) in 2010 and as Managing Director grew the business to be the largest Solar development business in Europe operating over 1GW of Solar assets before a sale and exit in 2015.

James has continued to be heavily involved in the Solar and Renewables industry both as an investor and in board roles through his company Arilee Ltd which has investments in Europe, Australia, Africa and the the Middle East.

Utility Scale

The Iraq Government has ambitions to produce 10 gigawatts of solar energy by the end of 2030. Fiafi Solar is seeking to position itself as a major player in achieving these goals

EPC

Strengthening our capabilities, Fiafi Solar has entered into a cooperation agreement with SIMEE, a division of Shanghai Electric for the provision of EPC services at scale to the Iraqi Renewable Energy Market.

 

Commercial and Residential

Fiafi Solar will be establishing its commercial & residential division in 2022. This division will include the wholesale and retail of solar equipment including modules, inverters, racking, energy storage and cabling to the commercial and residential markets. Additionally Fiafi Solar shall provide instillation services to its customers
